Dr. James A. Oshetski, DDS, DABOI/ID
Board-Certified Implantologist and Restorative Dentist
Dr. James A. Oshetski earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and completed a General Practice Residency at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Following his residency, he was invited to serve as a faculty supervisor for the same program, where he provided years of lectures and hands-on supervision to residents in both the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant rehabilitation.
Dr. Oshetski brings this extensive surgical and restorative experience to Maine through a digitally driven practice focused on advanced dental implant rehabilitation, restorative dentistry, and sedation dentistry. His approach emphasizes precise planning, evidence-based techniques, and continuity of care from diagnosis through final restoration.
Throughout his career in both hospital-based and private practice settings, Dr. Oshetski has placed and restored thousands of dental implants and completed hundreds of full-arch restorations. He has achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID), one of the highest credentials in implant dentistry and one held by only a limited number of dentists worldwide. He has also earned Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and Fellowship with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Beyond patient care, Dr. Oshetski is a dedicated educator and founder of Oshetski Implant Seminars, created to share his professional experience and advanced implant knowledge with other dental professionals. Through teaching, mentorship, and continued research, he remains committed to using the most current, evidence-based implant procedures and advanced technology. His focus on streamlining treatment and improving outcomes reflects a deep commitment to both his patients and the profession. He was recently inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentistry, an honor recognizing service, leadership, and care for underserved communities.
