Understanding the Difference Between Bite Function and Digital Impressions

In this video, Dr. James Oshetski, DDS, explains the difference between the T-Scan™ Digital Occlusal Analysis system and intraoral scanners. Both are valuable tools, but they serve different purposes. T-Scan™ measures bite force and timing in real time, showing how teeth contact and whether the bite is stable or imbalanced. Intraoral scanners capture a digital impression of the teeth and gums to support the design of restorations, but they do not measure force, timing, or muscle response.
