What is Teethxpress

Introduction

Many people who are about to lose teeth, function or their smile don’t need to experience the debilitating function and psychological trauma from getting traditional dentures. As we know from TV commercials, dentures have difficulty stay in place. However they also only function at about 20% of natural teeth and cause the jawbone to resorb indefinitely. TeethXpress is an immediate replacement option for a full-arch of teeth that is fixed in place and prevents the need for a full denture. Dr. Oshetski is the only a certified provider of TeethXpress in Maine and leads New England in experience and expertise.

The TeethXpress Solution

Do you suffer from these common denture problems?

  • Difficulty chewing certain foods
  • Slurred speech and embarrassing clicks, whistling or smacking
  • Slipping or moving of the denture
  • Gum and mouth irritation
  • Mouth infections
  • Pain caused by poor fitting dentures
Tired of your loose denture?

Millions of people around the world are missing enough teeth to require the use of a denture. Many struggle with loose or poor fitting dentures. If you have this problem, you already know the embarrassment of slipping dentures, not being able to eat the foods you love, and the problems with messy denture adhesives.

The TeethXpress Solution

After you have met with Dr. Oshetski, a board certified implantologist and certified TeethXpress dentist, and created a personalized treatment plan, you will schedule the TeethXpress procedure. During the procedure, 4 to 6 implants are surgically placed into your jaw with abutment posts. Your denture is then secured to the abutment posts with special prosthetic screws. The TeethXpress procedure typically can be completed in one day and can be done under local anesthesia. Your dentist will either use your existing denture or have a denture created prior to the procedure so that you walk out that day with teeth. Discomfort from TeethXpress is usually minor and temporary. Your dentist may prescribe pain relievers for you as needed. A soft diet will be required during the initial healing phase.

After the Procedure

After the procedure, the use of a medicated mouth wash is often recommended for two weeks. You will not brush or use a water pick during that time. After two weeks, you can start using a water pick on a slow speed. Follow your doctor’s instructions and maintain your dental hygiene to ensure the long-term success of your treatment.
